On Demand : Pelvic Yoga | Four Week Series
I am grateful to share this practice with you.
Welcome to four weeks dedicated to your pelvic health through breathing, mindful movement and yoga. Your pelvis is very central in your body and is an essential part of how you navigate your movements and maintain your posture. Proper alignment and function of our pelvic region is important for our overall well-being. This series is meant to assist you in improving your breathing, posture and pelvic related health. This series may benefit you whether you are hoping to become more familiar with your body or looking for support for a pelvic related condition. This program was originally created for a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic health to support clients as they seek treatment. If you experience pain in your pelvis or low back, have pre or postpartum complications, incontinence, endometriosis or a pelvic related disorder, yoga may be used as a tool to support you.
Each week, the postures are introduced for you in a video format. That way you can learn the proper form and intent. You are in the driver's seat of this practice, meaning you practice when it best suits you and hold the postures for as long as feels good in your body. A proportion of this practice is meant to be restorative. Restorative Yoga uses props (pillows, blankets, blocks, etc) so you can feel supported in your practice and allow your body to get the full benefit of each pose. In addition, there are postures that are meant to help you engage your muscles and build strength if you desire. Practicing yoga can help us build awareness of our body and experience so we can become more in tune with what our body needs.
Thank you and please reach out if you have any questions!
